Yesterday I wrote a piece of music so I thought I would share it with you here. This piece is called ‘Sad Film’ – so I thought I would add a bit of a challenge. When you listen to it, what does it evoke? If this were a scene from a film what would be happening? What would the characters be doing or feeling? Click on the link below to hear it. I hope you enjoy. Let me know what you think…
Sad Film

Your music reminded me of the waves on the ocean, repetitive and sometimes discordant, as if a dreary morning was moving toward a rainy day. Nice work.
Thanks!
Curious. I swear I’d not read Wendy Van Camp’s comment prior to forming my mental picture. I had however, just viewed your “instagram” photo on FB. So:
A walk on the beach with loved ones.
And plinky plinky keyboards (sorry!)
Nothing wrong with a good bit of ‘plinky plink plonk’! I want to hear some of your music?
Sadly, I don’t so much as own a guitar right now, though there’s often a tune in my head…
You need to get them out of your head…
I imagine couple arguing (silently,- we would see the gesticulations), the packing of the things, the frustration on their faces, tears, perhaps plate flinging – maybe a small child hearing it from the top of the stairs – along to this track, for me, would really convey strong emotions. But then again, I am having a bit of a dark day and it IS raining. π
That sounds interesting, maybe I should write some music for the end of that film. Do they get back together or do they find fulfilment in other ways by the end? Hope your day brightens! Thanks…
My take was a bit more moody, but it could be that I’m working on a dark book right now. Very nice. π Thanks for sharing.
Oooh dark sounds good!
I just came from a drive under trees throwing their confetti leaves all ’round me and this piece feels like an autumnal drive.β«βͺ..would love it if you check out my instrumentals on my blog: http://heartoons.wordpress.com
Cheers, I will have a listen…
